The Brief

A family home in Bordon had a tired boiler that was becoming unreliable and expensive to run. The owners wanted a modern, high-efficiency replacement that would deliver dependable heating and hot water and bring running costs back down, with the work done cleanly and with minimal time off the heating.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Survey and sizing: we assessed the property, the number of bathrooms and the hot water demand, and calculated the correct boiler output rather than estimating it.
• Removed the old boiler: the existing unit was safely disconnected, with gas and water connections properly isolated, and removed for responsible disposal.
• System flush: the heating system was chemically flushed to clear sludge and debris and protect the new boiler, with a corrosion inhibitor added.
• Fitted the new combi boiler: a modern high-efficiency condensing unit, connected to manufacturer specification and British standards, with all joints leak-tested.
• Controls and commissioning: new controls set up, the system pressurised and fully commissioned, and every safety device verified.
• Handover: the owners were shown how to run the boiler and adjust settings, and the manufacturer warranty was registered on their behalf.

The Result

A reliable, efficient heating system delivering consistent warmth and hot water, with lower running costs and a registered manufacturer warranty. The household has one local team to call for future servicing and support.
